On arrival, the visitor can see the massive silhouette of Saint-Gervais, rounded on a hill overlooking the wild course of the Roubion, whose pebbles have shaped the walls of the houses.
To understand the plan of the village, you have to imagine a spoon, the rounded part that you put in your mouth encloses the piece to be tasted. Only, the visitor will park at the end of the handle. It is a splayed square with a small building on the right that at first makes one think of an oriental-inspired kiosk. It is in fact a fountain, much appreciated by cyclists during their rides.
Then you have to go north, pass in front of the town hall, admire an elegant fountain on the left, before being able to detail on the right the facade of the castle, the oldest part of which has huge mullioned windows from the 16th century. By pushing to the end of the square, one discovers, from the top of the ramparts, a broad panorama on the plain of Marsanne.
Between the castle and the church (19th century) a narrow passage leads to the oldest part of the village. At random, you will discover a small square where a secular mulberry tree is enthroned.
Around the village, hiking trails have been opened that lead along the banks of the river and take you past the Coteaux de la Valdaine cellar where wine lovers can taste local wines from the Drôme or the Grignan county.
